A calmer, clearer way to regain control when things don’t feel right.
When things start to go wrong,
most riders try to fix everything.
And somehow… things still don’t feel better.
You may have noticed symptoms like...
Your horse is:
And those add up to lost confidence (and safety).
What if the answer isn’t trying harder — but knowing what to fix first?
Why Control Breaks Down
When riders lose confidence, it’s usually because:
Clarity isn’t about reacting faster; it comes from knowing where to start.
What This Training Is Really About
The pattern helps you:
This work helps riders stop compensating for balance issues and start allowing the horse to solve them.
Instead of propping things up, riders learn when to step back which creates stronger, more honest movement.

“I don’t have to help my horse to balance, but allow her to figure it out herself.
This exercise was good for me, to realize horses shouldn’t rely on me balancing them all the time.”
Dagmar Realini (Coach)
How This Pattern Works
Many riders don’t think about their horse having “four corners” or know how to test or apply it.
This course turns that idea into something practical. A way to start each ride by checking responsiveness and balance before asking for more.

“I love the concept of 4 corner control. I've heard you mention it but I never really thought about what it means, until now.
Going forward I want to start each ride testing to see if I have control over all 4 corners. (And, now I have the tools to do so.)”
Sylvie Hand
Why This Format Works
That’s why this course includes both the diagnostic workshop and the recorded implementation challenge, so you can:
Progress here doesn’t come from trying harder. It comes from regulating energy, slowing thinking, and letting clarity replace pressure.
When riders manage themselves first, horses often soften and respond with less effort from both sides.

“The most surprising thing for me was how much softer and more responsive Silken became when I managed my own energy and slowed my thinking.
Moving forward, I’m carrying a deeper awareness of my own energy and tendency to overthink, and will keep using a sequence as a diagnostic tool and an opportunity to provide improved clarity and communication for both of us.”

Who This Is For
This is for riders who:
Early progress requires focus — and that’s intentional.
By paying close attention at the start, riders build habits that later become automatic, reducing mental load instead of increasing it.

“The most surprising thing to me is how much you really have to pay attention to & focus on at the start.
I'm sure, as it becomes habit, I won't have to think so hard!”
Vicki Webberley

No. The workshop is designed to be valuable whether you attend live or watch the replay. Live attendance includes Q&A. Replays are available to all registrants, with access length depending on the option you choose.
The workshop helps you understand the pattern and recognize what’s missing when things feel off. The challenge is where you slow down and practice, step by step, with guidance and repetition so the pattern actually sticks. Both start from the same foundation. The difference is how much support you want while putting it into practice.
Access depends on the option you choose:
- Workshop-only access includes a time-limited replay
- Challenge and membership options include lifetime access to the recordings inside the course
Details are listed above in the pricing section.
Yes. This training is about clarity, timing, and organization — not speed, intensity, or perfection.
You work at the pace that suits your horse, your riding schedule, and where you are right now.
That’s expected. The challenge is structured, but not rigid.
You can revisit the material and work through it at your own pace — especially if you choose an option with extended access and support.
That’s the beauty of this challenge. This is the first ridden movement I would teach a horse.
And the horse in the Challenge Training video had limited inconsistent training and I had not been on her for 6 1/2 years so you'll see the steps exactly as a green horse would do them.

International Coach and Clinician
National and International Top 10 Competitor
Retired Technical Delegate and WEDU Judge of Working Equitation
Trish puts her many skills to use introducing the international discipline of Working Equitation to riders eager to improve their partnership with their horse, with a focus on fun, classical horsemanship and use of the horse for practical work or as cross-training for other disciplines.
Trish's superpower is the ability to give you and your horse what you need in a way that you understand so each horse and rider makes progress and knows what they need to work on.
This training gives riders something many programs don’t: clear feedback in the saddle.
Instead of guessing or pushing through, riders learn how to notice when they can release sooner, feel what the horse’s body is actually doing, and recognize where strength or clarity is missing, before it shows up as a bigger problem.
It becomes a diagnostic tool, not just an exercise.
The result isn’t more effort. It’s direction.

“I see that I over aid when I could’ve released my ask many steps before.
It forced me to slow down and feel where his legs are and what his body is doing. It also served as a diagnostic for hind leg strength and how that shows up in other moves.
Gives me direction for instruction.”

No. It was, and now all the recordings are ready for you to access immediately.
On the checkout page you'll get the opportunity to add the challenge I did before this one which has similar benefits and is done from the ground at a special price. And then when you're ready you can continue with this one as you have lifetime access.

On the thank you page you'll see an option to join the Rider's Success Circle membership where I host weekly Q&As, as well as the monthly challenges. You can get help there on what you and your horse are working on.
Feel free to message me at Support below before you purchase, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Check out Francesca's reply when asked "How would you describe this to a friend?"
This was a good challenge. It was about bringing the horse to a relaxed stop through bend and hind engagement.
It showed how much I was doing rather than feeling what was going on.
My timing and feel for release improved.
It also showed me how much I rushed in wanting an answer. I didn’t give my horse time to think!
I also noticed it was harder on one side than the other. The challenge gave us an exercise to harmonize. This movement seems to be a foundational piece.
